     I went to Bogotá for vacation and although I had been there before, I explored a little more this year.  These are some photos of Bogotá; in the park, in restaurants, malls and the changing of the guard at the presidential palace and of course, high above Bogotá at the Monserrate monastery.  There are also photos from inside the home showing family, food and music. 

Then it's off to Melgar, a small party town in the lower and more tropical region of Colombia.  It is a popular weekend destination for city dwellers to escape to and for good reason.  I have about 1500 more photos from different parts of Colombia to scan in sometime but at least this time I went digital. There's a lot more to say but I know you want to see the photos more than read this so here goes (designed for broadband, some patience required):
